Located near the Ford Oakville assembly plant. Local 707’s automotive footprints began May 11, 1953 when the first car was built by the Local, at that time called 707 UAW. Since 1953 the union has amalgamated with other unions and now known as Unifor Local 707. Today there are over 4500 production and skilled trades workers and 3000 retired workers. All active and retired members have access to Unifor Group Home and Auto Insurance – proudly brought to you by members of Local 1106.
